Company Retreat @ Scape!

Our client from the oil and gas industry tasked the Play Nation events team to organize a full day staff retreat for 120 participants. Event venue setup. Final venue inspection from our events team. All set up for the big day! The event was held in the ballroom located at *Scape, with an elegant banquet setting arranged for a stylish retreat for our guests! The program for the day was also an action packed one, with a good mix of serious work, socializing, and hectic game play all introduced on the same day! Table setup detail for guest. The day started off with a series of sharing sessions from the top leaders within the company. There was a lively discussion at the end of each session as the engineers and managers exchanged their questions and response on the matters discussed with the speakers. Strategy meeting sharing. Sharing session with company leaders. After the sharing session, our guest got ready for some serious fun! Each table was assigned a Play Nation event host, who led the guests in a series of table game that challenges each group to work as a team to beat competing tables at the given task. Drawing mini game Team members have to follow the instruction from the leader to draw out the masterpiece. Each member is only assigned a specific section of the painting to complete! Guest reaction for table game "We won!" During the second half of the day, our guests were challenged with a specially designed game. Teams had to compete to solve puzzles hidden within the ballroom to find clues to the final destination... Clue found Teams had to discover hidden clues in the ballroom, and determine the solution to the puzzles. Getting clues from host Teams trying to obtain (illegal) tips from our hosts! For the final challenge, teams had to obtain stipulated high scores for selected console games that we hand picked for them! Shipwrecked, Escape from Sentosa!

"Can you lead your crew away from the deserted island before starvation sets in? Work as a team and find out!" The Play Nation events team was engaged by our client to designed a customized real life escape game for their team retreat! The brief from the client requested a program that will allow all 55 participants to play simultaneously in an experience lasting 2 to 4 hours before ending with a group dinner at a restaurant of their choice. Teams ready to move out after briefing Teams studying the first clues given to them after the group briefing session The setting of the game puts the participants as the sole survivors of the shipwrecked Sentosa Express cruise line. They have limited food and water supplies and need to quickly find the Quest Items located in hidden locations across Sentosa Island in order to make their escape and find their way to a sumptuous dinner! To encourage more interaction between the participants and the client leadership team, the Play Nation events team invited directors from the client's team to join us in the event as special characters that hands out additional clues to teams to help them progress in the game. The price of additional clues is set at an affordable, and slightly embarrassing, song and dance performance as determined by the directors! After an eventful and action packed afternoon, the participating teams finally gathered in the final checkpoint for dinner and the prize presentation. The atmosphere was wonderful as teams shared their exploits for the day and dissected the puzzles and their respective solutions. After a hard days play, the food and drinks flowed freely and the spirits was high! To complete the experience, a special debrief session was conducted by the game designer who explained the different puzzles played by the respective teams as well as their solutions, as each team attempted different puzzles. Finally, prizes sponsored by Play Nation as well as the client was presented to the top 3 teams, while the team finishing last was given the opportunity to present a song and dance to the amusement of everyone else. We had a boatload of fun hosting the client, and we sure hoped they enjoyed the day's activity as well! Taking the train to dinner destination after solving all the puzzle. To coincide with the impending Formula 1 race, Play Nation was engaged by our client in the engineering industry to prepare and host a F1 themed Family Day. As the event will be participated by our client's staff as well as their family members, the challenge was to program activities that will engage and entertain event participants across a large age range.

Judging from the reaction of the participants, everyone had fun! The Play Nation event team set up console games stations in the main hall that is also equipped with Rodeo and other carnival rides. A Jenga challenge corner was also set up to invoke the engineering spirit of all our guests. Party games with attractive prices were also held every hour on the main stage to enthusiastic response from the participants!

The highlight of the days event is without a doubt the adrenalin filled go kart racing held in outside the main hall. Teams of 8-10 racers pit their skills and courage against their colleagues in a high speed race around the race course. Multiple 5 lap races were held with the winner of each race receiving a gift for their effort.

Strategy Day - Serious fun!

Play Nation + Strategy Day Retreat = Serious Fun!

The Play Nation events team was engaged by our client to organize their strategy day retreat that was held in Sentosa in the month of September. In consultation with the organizing committee, a full day of activity was planned for the day based on strategic presentations by the company's leadership team as well as original programming designed by Play Nation.

The retreat was attended by more than 150 top level executives, active discussion and participation from the crowd was engaged via live polling services set up by the play Nation events team.
Throughout the presentations, members of the audience may pose thoughts and questions to the presenter with their smartphones. At various points during the presentation, presenters may also stop to ask the audience for feedback and receive instant response!

Lunch was served at the end of the strategy meetings at the hotel restaurant where our clients took time to catch up with their colleagues and also share their thoughts on the matters discussed earlier.

After a fulfilling lunch, the participants of the event was in for more fun filled activities as the Play Nation events team hosted them on a series of games and team building activity. To start the action for the afternoon, the Play Nation hosts lead the participants in a series of table games and activities to warm them up for the rest of the day's event.

The highlight of the day's challenge is a real life escape game designed specially to the client's request.
The game represents a client project that teams have to work together to complete to leave the ballroom. The unique aspect of this game is that while each team tries to be the first to leave the room, they must work together with competing teams representing other departments within the company to solve the puzzle and make their escape!

Upon making their escape, teams must make they way through a series of challenges at the beach. Each of the station is designed to enhance team bonding among the participants as well as to represent some of the common challenges they face working in a globalized economy.

To round off the strategy retreat, we had a prize presentation at the ballroom for the best performance teams in the games. Soon, it was time for dinner at the lounge with a sumptuous spread and plenty of wine to end the day on a high.
A three piece live band also performed for the guests, with many of them singing along to many classic songs and popular tunes!
